I've wanted some of these shorts with the lace on the sides all summer.  I found these at Kohl's.  They were particularly cool because of the floral AND lace.  I have also been wanting floral denim shorts.  They only way they could get any better is if they were high-wasted.  Kohl's is definitely not one of my favorite stores, because it's normally lacking is style and quality. From time to time there will be a good find.  I chose to wear this lace tank top with it because it has the same antique feel.  Normally, I wouldn't condone mixing laces but in this case I would say it is fine because the lace on the short is so minimal.  Also, they are the same color.  I think it's very difficult to find a way to wear two different laces together.  Comment if you have any advice or thoughts.

Fanny Pack: Le Sport Sac
Shorts: Vintage
Shoes: My creation
Belt: Vintage
Tank Top: Wal-Mart
Necklace: Forever 21

The other day I went with my boyfriend to Turkey Run State Park.  It's a really pretty place to visit. It makes you feel like you are someplace exotic, even though you didn't even leave your state.  I like to wear something semi-comfortable, while hiking.  It can't be a big deal if it gets muddy obviously; however, I'm not the kind of girl that is going to wear an old t-shirt and sweatpants outside.   I actually only own one pair of sweatpants, and they were for a job I had.  Keeping all of this in mind, I chose to wear my vintage high-wasted shorts with this floral tank top.  Yes, it's from Wal-Mart, but it reminds me of the white and blue china pattern, so I bought it.  I also don't like wearing tennis shoes unless I am exercising.  I decided to wear these white sneakers, that I drew on to make them look like oxford shoes.  I know, I know, it's kind of crazy to wear a fanny pack, but when your climbing around they come in handy.  This one is buy Le Sport Sac.  Comment, and let me know if you have any ideas of what to wear while hiking.

Cotton Candy World

Skirt: vintage fabric, but made by me
Tank: Mudd
Necklace: my own design
Boots: Asos
Sunnies: Forever 21
Earrings: Lauren Conrad

No, this building did not inspire this outfit.  I just came across it and decided to use it as my background for these photos.  I found this skirt fabric while fabric shopping for a project, for my college design class.  I never needed it, so I made it into a skirt.  I made the necklace one night, when I was feeling particularly creative.  The earrings I just picked up because I have been looking for cameo earrings.  I think they are so cute.  Lauren Conrad has so many cute earrings out right now.  This look just makes me think of cotton candy.  I'm sure it's because of the colors and texture.  But, I like it.

Yellow Breeze

Purse: Target
 Yellow Top: Poetry
Shorts: Forever 21
Necklace: Apt. 9
Sandals: Candies
Ring: Vintage
Headband: had since childhood
Sunnies: Charolette Russe

I bought this beautiful purse yesterday at Target.  I am in love with the colors.  It inspired me to wear this top that I have had for a few months.  I chose to wear it with these shorts because the studs match the yellow.  It is kind of a windy day, so the top blows in the wind.  I recently colored my hair ombre and it's kind of hard to tell because it is already blonde-ish.  If you look at the picture with my hair blowing you can actually tell that it is ombre.  If your hair is darker than mine and you want to go ombre, I recommend the Loreal ombre hair kit because it works pretty well.

Tea Time

The other day I went to one of my friend's tea party, birthday parties.  I realized that it would be the perfect opportunity to wear this new dress that I got from Nashville.  I made a floral crown to match.  The necklace that I am wearing is a teapot and tea cup, by Lauren Conrad.  I am also wearing a tea time ring that I bought from Etsy (you can't see it though).  Everything was super adorable and pretty.  I am a huge fan of pretty tea cups, and there were plenty of them.  I can't wait for another tea party to roll around so I can dress fancy.

A trend that I love is matching sets.  Weather it be skirt and bustier, shorts and blazers, or pants and tops, I love them all. This one is from Charlotte Russe.  I though it would be perfect to wear over a swimsuit.  My sunnies are from Urban Outfitters.  They are one of my favorite pairs.

The Perfect Dress

10:09:00 PM Andrea Ryan 2 Comments

I have found my perfect dress. It's bright and floral (just the way I like it.)  It is made by a brand called Mimi Chica, from Nordstrom.  It is flowy, airy, and loose.  I love the style, specifically, the way it's like a mock babydoll style dress.  It is somewhere between babydoll and skater style.  I love the cut-out in the back, with the floppy bow accents, and the mismatched prints on the bodice and skirt.  My bandeau is from Charolette Russe.  These boots are vintage.  I am wearing a tiny elephant necklace from Forever 21, and an "A" necklace form LC Lauren Conrad.  For my bracelets; the cameo one is from Asos, and I made the string ones.  My watch is Dana Buchman. That is it. Good Bye.
