Dress: Jennifer Lopez
Sandals: Target
Purse: Target
Hat & Ring: Forever 21
Necklace: My own (similar one soon to be on Etsy)

Weeping willows are my second favorite trees (after palm trees).  I can't help but walk under one, if I pass by.  Today I wore this black crochet lace dress by Jennifer Lopez.  Normally, I wouldn't wear something Jennifer Lopez brand because they are always too big for me.  Also, like I previously said, I don't like Kohl's very much.  This one was returned to the store and bought online.  It is a petite size, so it fits much better.  It was also marked down because of these things, and I was looking for a baby doll style dress.  I love this hat.  It is one of the only styles of hats that I am able to wear.  It also happens to be my favorite style.  I picked these sandals up at Target.  I love how they go with both black and brown.  It makes them very versatile.  I'm not sure if they are cheetah or leopard pattern though.  If you can tell the difference please tell me how, because I don't know.

Aqua and Key Lime

Skirt: Vintage
Shoes: Go Jane
Top: Paper Crane
Ring: F21
Bangles: Apt. 9

My favorite color combo for summer is key lime and aqua.  I can't get enough of them and they look really great together.  I found this top a few weeks ago and decided to add the little pearl and bead details to the collar.  Even though embellished collars' moment is fading, I still love them.  Collars have always been one of my favorite details on shirts.

Casual Cropped

Top: Material Girl
Shorts: Forever 21
Shoes: My design (previous D.I.Y.)
Both Necklaces: Lauren Conrad

I have found myself wearing this cute and ruffly cropped top a lot lately.  I rarely see cropped tanks with ruffles.  A while ago I saw one at Asos, but of course it was too expensive.  Then I found this one and I cheered for joy and grabbed it.  I am finally wearing these shoes that I made in my previous D.I.Y. (remember them?).  Since it's summer I have been wearing a lot of sandals, but today I decided to take a little break from them and whip out these.  Besides that, I just want to express how much I love Lauren Conrad jewelry.  Both of these necklaces are Lauren Conrad.  If you have never shopped her jewelry collection then I suggest you skip on over to Kohl's and check it out.  They are all so adorable and delicate.  Really, the only good thing about Kohl's is the Lauren Conrad collection.  Cheers!

Pink Flamingos

Skirt: Urban Outfitters
Flamingo Tank: SO
Shoes: Go Jane
Rings: fair trade from Peru and antique from my Great-Grandma

Flamingos are one of my favorite birds.  Whenever a clothing item has a flamingo on it I have to take a closer look.  This top a double fab find because of the collar (yeah I just wrote fab).  I deeply love collars.  Even though my skirt and top don't match, I feel that they "go".  I'm not sure why, but these colors just look good together.  Somehow, they complement each other.

Summer Sunsets

Palm Tree Shorts: Forever 21
Cropped Tee: T.J. Maxx
Sandals: Urban Outfitters
Spike Necklace: Forever 21

I have been waiting months to blog about theses shorts.  I love them so much and I wear them often.  However, I don't always have time to take pictures.  They are comfy and pretty.  The palm tree print is super classic but somehow they look modern to me.  Yesterday the sunset was especially pretty because the sky wasn't blanketed in clouds, like it has been lately.  It was a nice clear day.  That's Chicago to the right of the sun.  I have also been wearing this necklace every day since I got it five days ago.  I love that too.

Boots: Forever 21
Shirt: Made myself and Target
Skirt: Urban Outfitters

I apologize for how long this post is, but I have to include everything from last night.  I saw Taylor Swift in Chicago, at Soldier Field.  It was her last Red Tour stadium concert.  When I bought these tickets, almost a year ago, I immediately thought about what I was going to wear.  I didn't have a clue until about a month ago, though.  I wanted to use a quote from one of Taylor's songs and sequin the lettering.  I chose one of my favorites, "Happy free confused and lonely, in the best way.  It's miserable and magical."  I love this because now I can continue wearing the shirt, without it just being a one-time-event sort of shirt.  The shirt is from Target, and the sequins are from basically everywhere.  I chose to wear my Urban Outfitters skirt and these boots.  The audience was incredibly sparkly.  Everybody had glow sticks or light-up signs.  It was a pretty magical night.  Taylor is a very lucky girl to have so many passionate fans.  Taylor had several outfit changes, which I was pleasantly surprised about.  She definitely went all out to entertain her fans.  It was probably my favorite night of the summer.
