Swarovski Sparkle

Necklace: My own design
Sweater: Forever 21
Jacket: Target
Boots: Steve Madden
Purse: Plato's Closet (no brand name inside)
Jeans: Forever 21

Today was amazingly sunny (and windy).  This means it's a perfect day to wear sparkly things.  I made this necklace a few months ago, with the intention of selling similar ones on Etsy.  I'm still working on that.  I used a clear acrylic sheet, cut it, sanded it, made a stencil and painted the gold on back, then attached all of these Swarovski crystals.  They are incredibly sparkly and vibrant.  They are really hard to find though, which is a problem.  If anybody knows a place to buy them in large quantities, let me know please.  I am in love with Swarovski Fancy Stones in settings right now because a lot of jewelry that you find in stores has really cheap rhinestones.  It is a big pet peeve of mine when jewelry has dull or cheap looking stones.

Rose Kimono

Kimono: H&M
Tee: H&M
Purse: Urban Outfitters
Boots: Steve Madden
Bracelets: Forever 21 and made myself
Jeggings: Lauren Conrad

Today was fabulously warm, compared to the rest of winter.  I was actually able to go outside without shivering profusely.  I wore this new floral kimono from H&M.  Its super loose and comfortable.  I love the way kimonos look, but they are hard to come by.  This beautiful little purse is pretty amazing too! It's perfect for those days when you don't want to lug around a giant bag.  I can perfectly fit my cell, chapstick, money and cards.  It was one of those Christmas presents to myself, from myself.  I got it online from Urban Outfitters.

Coat: Forever 21
Sweater: Thrifted
Leggings: H&M
Mittens: Old
Blouse: Thrifted
Purse: Forever 21

I went ice skating for the first time in a few years yesterday.  This is what I wore.  It's always good to wear layers to keep warm but not so many, that restrict your movement.  I wore fleece lined tights under my leggings on the bottom half.  On top I wore this blouse under this over-sized sweater, both were thrifted.  I chose to wear a pretty thin coat on top so that I could still move around.  In my opinion, mittens are warmer than gloves.  For skating you don't really need fingers, so they work out better.  I had a pretty fun time and I'd like to go again soon before it gets warm!

Sweater: JC Penny
Skirt: Designed Myself
Boots: Go Jane
Tights: Target
Necklace: Designed Myself
Candy: Albanese

This post isn't so much about what I wore on Valentines Day, it's more about what I would wear if it were warmer and I could dress up more.  I wore the sweater with jeans and the boots.  However, I have been wanting a midi-length skirt with volume, so I made this one.  I decided that if I were to do something fancy I would wear it.  The weather is just too cold here to wear this outfit right now.  I just wanted to show you what I would wear if I had it all my way.  My Valentines day consisted of going out to eat at an Indian restaurant, eating loads of candy, and hanging out with my boyfriend.

I have been wanting sequin leggings or jeans forever, basically.  I love the subtle black sequins on these because they match the fabric and don't stand out too much.  They are from H&M.  My fringe top is also from H&M.  Besides the fact that I am in love with these jeans, the only other thing I have to say is that I am so tired of winter.  I can't wait for spring, when I can freely go outside and actually enjoy it.  My posts have been a bit sparse and lame lately but that is because of the temperatures.

'Tis The Season

Skirt: Tibi
Sweater: New Look
Heels: Modcloth
Earrings: Coach
Purse: Vivienne Westwood
Mug: Sur La Table
Ring: Daily Look

It's getting closer to Valentines Day so I decide to put together a little outfit inspiration board.  I'm not sure what my plans are yet for the holiday, besides eating loads of candy.  I think if I were to go all out this year I would wear something along these lines.

Sweater and Leggings: H&M
Boots: Target
Collar blouse: Happening in the Present
Necklace: my Etsy shop: Frills and Fun (for sale soon)

This sweater and leggings both came from H&M.  I bought them online.  It was my first online purchase from H&M.  I am very happy with how quickly my order arrived.  Since the weather has been so cold lately I have already worn this sweater a ton.  The leggings are awesome because they have a leather panel down the front.  I really like the look of leather pants and leggings but these ones are more comfortable because they are stretchy in back.  This cute bunny head necklace if from my Etsy collection.  I recently made it, and will be putting it up for sale on my shop soon.  Feel free to visit my shop.  There is a link at the top of my blog homepage.
