Another Birthday

Dress: Marchesa Pearl
Cardigan: Forever 21
Sandals: Go Jane
Purse: Expressions NYC
Rings: all Forever 21

So, my birthday is today.  I don't really get excited about birthdays anymore because at this point, I don't want to get older.  In fact, I'm about 100% against getting older because it terrifies me.  I do still celebrate them though because if you are forced to get older, then you might as well celebrate.
I have been saving this dress to wear on my birthday for quite some time.  I got it on sale a while ago and thought it would be appropriate.  It's by Marchesa, the Pearl collection.  It may look like a normal skater style dress but it has much more volume.  It's very light and has a lot of movement.  It's basically the perfect spinning dress.  I got the cardigan more recently from Forever 21.  It's amazingly comfortable and warm.  It's still available Here and similar ones are Here.

black cat,

Cat Face

Top: H&M
Jeans: Forever 21
Boots: Kohl's
Rings: all Forever 21

As it gets closer to Halloween, I feel more and more like I should wear this top like every day.  I have a "thing" for black cats.  I have always wanted one because I love how mysterious they are.  I also find them to be cuter that other cats, because they look like tiny panthers.  I found this top at H&M and bought it immediately.  I didn't even try it on.  I also love the way the cat's features are embroidered and not printed.  It just gives it more of a vintage/childhood feel.  As you can see, the leaves are changing.  Everything feels like full-on Fall.

cardigan,

Transitioning to Fall

Cardigan: H&M
Dress:Angie (from a small shop in Nashville, IN)
Boots: Forever 21

I found this dress in a little shop a few years ago when I was in College.  I was drawn to the color first  (aqua is my favorite).  I think the designs are pretty amazing too.  I love all the detail and sequins.  It kind of reminds me of a stained glass window, or some sort of intricate architecture.  I got this light-weight cardigan from H&M online.  It's really great for mild weather.  It's perfect for early fall days when it's just a little bit chilly.  It's easy to transition your summer clothes into fall clothes by just throwing on a cardigan.  I think they look great over dresses, skirts or shorts.

Julep Fall Colors

Julep Fall Colors by bananandrea featuring black ankle boots

I was contacted by Julep to put together an outfit that goes with the new nail polish colors for fall.  My favorite color is this grayish-blue color called Misti.  If anybody else wants to put together an outfit feel free.

Blue Bobble Sweater

9:21:00 PM Andrea Ryan 2 Comments

Sweater: Sheinside
Highwasted Jeans: Forever 21
Shoes: Report
Purse: Michael Kors
Necklace: Antique (from my Great-Grandmother)
Rings: Forever 21

Sweater weather is here once again.  I can't say I am excited about the chill but I do love the coziness of sweaters.  This one is from Sheinside. What I adore the most about it is the little bobbles down the arms and front.  I love this style of sweater but sometimes they are surprisingly difficult to find.  Most of the sweaters that I come across are a pretty standard knit.  That's what I don't like about F/W fashion, styles don't change that much.  It's usually sweaters, boots, jeans, leggings, coats, gloves, scarves, and cardigans.  I feel like because of the need to stay warm, it kind of limits what you can do with style.  That's one of the many reasons why I prefer warmer weather.
This weekend I did a lot of shopping, without buying that much.  I pretty much only shop online and in downtown Chicago now because in my town it's really hard to find cool things.  It's okay though because I love going downtown.  It's not very far at all and the amount of stores to choose from is massive.  It's definitely a commonly overlooked city for fashion.  It really does have everything.

BTW: I am doing a fall/Halloween GIVEAWAY soon, so watch out for it.

Intro to Autumn

Sweater: H&M
Leggings: H&M
Necklaces: Forever 21
Boots: Kohl's

This outfit is an example of what I would consider to be the perfect casual outfit for Fall.  It's the kind of outfit you can wear around the house, visiting friends, shopping, or running errands.  It's my type of everyday outfit.  I got my leggings last year from H&M and my sweater a few weeks ago.  I really love the sweater and have worn it tons, since I bought it.  Also, I updated my Trend of the Month for October, so be sure to check out that page.  My outfit aside, I think this is one of the first Autumns that I am not looking forward to.  The weather around Chicagoland has been really strange lately and I'm scared for it to get colder.  I do still love a lot about fall though, so I am going to participate in all it's wonders.
