New Orleans was our last stop, and where we flew out of.  We stayed in an amazing hotel in the French Quarter called Bienville House Hotel.  It was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in.  The pool was in a super pretty courtyard setting, with tons of balconies, dressed with flowers and vines.  We ate some of the best food in town and went to the oldest bar in America.  I think it's safe to say that the French Quarter of New Orleans is one of my favorite cities in the U.S.  It's so pretty.  Every building is a different color and has it's own unique charm, but still has the old French feel.  It's really just my style.  I had heard that the French Quarter was cool, but I had no idea it is that cool and so big.  Something else that is nice about it is that you can hear music being played constantly, everywhere you go.  Wherever you are there is a band in the street or a person playing the piano in a restaurant.  Even the old riverboat plays music in the dock.  Now I know why everybody talks so highly of this city and it's spirit, and I honestly can't wait to go back.  Also, I am wearing two different outfits here because these are two separate days.

Looking back on my trip, I can't believe how much we squeezed into 6 days!  Our second to last destination was Galveston Island, Texas.  Like the other places, it was so much cooler than I remembered.  There are tons of pretty historic buildings everywhere with that cute, colorful tropical feel.  These buildings are incredibly old.  We stopped by Bishop's Palace, a super beautiful mansion.  I'm really into old houses like this, so whenever I go by one I have to observe it's beauty.  We didn't have time to tour it, but you are able to if you want.  Galveston Island is supposed to be one of the most haunted cities in America.  We also went on a dolphin spotting tour boat ride.  We saw tons of dolphins for $10, and it's only 45 minutes long.  I highly suggest it.  The company is called Baywatch Dolphin Tours.  Although the beaches aren't the whitest and the water isn't the clearest, Galveston is still a really fun place to visit.

Hamilton Pool Preserve is a little outside of Austin, TX.  It's a huge natural rock formation with a waterfall, and pool of water.  The water is so clear and blue.  The color is just so surprisingly bright.    I had never heard of it before, but came across it while looking for things to do around Austin.  I hear it makes a great swimming spot when the weather is super hot.  I'm really glad we checked it out because it is a pretty amazing place.  Sorry this post isn't really about fashion.  I just wanted to show you how cool this place is.

San Antonio, TX was the second stop on our southern adventure.  I forgot to include in my previous post our itinerary.  We flew into New Orleans, then took a road trip to Houston, San Antonio, Hamilton Pool Preserve, Austin, Galveston Island, then back to New Orleans.  In San Antonio we spent most of our time at the Riverwalk.  It's a seriously amazing place.  There are so many awesome restaurants and spots right on the river.  We also stopped by the Alamo, because it was right there.  We went to the top of the Tower of the Americas too.  I bought this top right before the trip.  I am mildly obsessed with it.  I love the fabric, pattern, and the cool string sections in the center and sleeves.
