Fleece Lined Tights: Meijer

I've been doing a lot of clearance shopping lately because of the seasons changing.  I found this dress recently at Forever 21.  I love how simple and classic it looks.  I just know it will be a staple in my wardrobe for years to come (or until it gets worn out).  Almost everything i'm wearing in this post is from Forever 21.  I hate when I realize everything I'm wearing is from the same store.  Oops!  I just like to mix it up.  We also got hit with a big snow storm the past two days.  Most of the roads aren't even plowed yet.  I'm really hoping it's the last snow of the season.

Saturday in Chicago

I spent the day downtown yesterday.  Although I live only 45 minutes from downtown Chicago, I don't get the chance to spend the whole day there very often.  The weather was an amazing 60 degrees and sunny as opposed to the below 30 that it has been.  My boyfriend and I did some shopping on both Michigan Avenue and State Street.  We also went to Wicker Park to eat at a restaurant called Big Star.  I've never been to Big Star.  I know it is rated very high but I wasn't that impressed.  It was overly crowded and not that amazing.  If you go there I recommend just getting food from the take-out window, instead of sitting down.

I recently got this leather jacket from Forever 21.  I love it because of the removable fur collar and the feel of the faux leather.  It feels like really nice quality.  It's soft and doesn't look cheap like a lot of faux leather jackets do.  The only thing that kind of bugs me about it is that they don't make them in size XS, which is what I needed.

Top: T.J. Maxx
Boots: Steve Madden
Purse and Poof: H&M
Jeans: Forever 21
Necklaces: H&M

We also walked around Millennium Park, Lake Shore Drive, and the Chicago River.  Saturday was kind of a "casually do whatever we want day," so we weren't very rushed.  I've always felt like Chicago is a very under appreciated city.  It's incredibly clean and pretty.

Icy Blue Coat

Coat: Forever 21
Head Wrap: Target
Dress: One Clothing
Boots: Forever 21
Fur Poof: H&M

I've been lusting for this coat for a very long time.  Recently I found it on sale at Forever 21.  Not only is it an incredibly pretty color, but it's also really thick and warm.  It's $30 online, but only $15 in store.  It snowed a few days ago, so I am finally able to wear my furry head wrap that I got for Christmas.  I love the way these look but this one is a little bit too furry.  I really want one that has a thinner, and softer furry texture.  I haven't found one yet, so until then this one will do.

Scream Queens Style

Scream Queens Style

I just finished watching Scream Queens! The style in that show is unbelievable.  I was inspired for this collection by the character Chanel.  She is my favorite in the show.  I am obsessed with her style and I love how sassy she is.  Although I would never treat people like she does, I still think it's really funny.  I wanted to post this collection to share some inspiration for the remainder of winter, for anybody stuck in a style rut.  I love all of the colorful furs in this show.  Of course I am referring to faux furs.  I love this Dior scent so much.  I smelled a sample in a magazine yesterday and now I really want it.  I think it will be the next perfume I own.  I have a very similar pink poof key chain and I am in love with it.  Mine is from H&M.  Sadly, it's not for sale anymore but you can still find them a variety of places.  See how I styled it in my past blog post.  For christmas I got a furry head wrap kind of like the one Chanel wears in the show.  I'll wear it in my next blog post.  Has anybody else been loving this show like I have?

Casual Valentine's Day

Suede Top: Monteau
Coat: H&M
Jeans: Forever 21
Boots: Forever 21
Purse: Urban Outfitters
Poof: H&M
Necklaces: Star-H&M, Oval-Vintage

I stumbled across this top a few weeks ago at T.J.Maxx.  I instantly was drawn to it because of the scallops and color.  After picking it up I noticed that it's suede.  Suede was very popular this Fall/Winter and I didn't find anything I actually wanted to buy, even though I love suede.  This shirt is just so "me" that I couldn't leave it behind.  I knew I could wear it for Valentine's Day too (because it's pink, of course).  The actual brand is Monteau Los Angeles.  I own two other pieces by this label already, both of them are scalloped.  I really need to break my scallops obsession.
For Valentine's Day this year I think I'm just going to buy a heart shaped pizza and some candy, and celebrate by eating all of the festive things.  I feel like Valentine's day can be a very awkward holiday because of all of the mixed signals and expectations of people.  I'm usually only concerned about what candy I'm eating and if my boyfriend is next to me, lol.  However pathetic it may sound, this has always been one of my favorite holidays.  It's not really because of the cheesy love aspect though.  I think it's just because I love the colors of Valentine's day and it's kind of the first little sign of Spring.

Hey guys! I recently created a PAOM shop.  I thought is would be fun to create some clothing and accessories with photos from some of the beautiful places I have been.  My shop includes some pieces with images from my blog posts.  I'd like to expand eventually and add more pieces.  Check out the ones I designed here:  I'm just letting you guys know in case you really like any of these images and happen to be interested in buying any pieces.  Maybe you have also been to some of these places and really love the scenery.  Check out my shop to see more of the pieces I designed!
