Soft Winter Scarf

SCARF (Winter Soft Color Block Plaid Tassel Shawl Pashmina): Yoshop | SWEATER: J.C. Penney | LEGGINGS: Forever 21 | BOOTS: Steve Madden | PURSE: Marc by Marc Jacobs | SUNGLASSES: Zero UV

I originally got this scarf to match my grey coat.  I think the two would look really nice together.  Since then, the weather has warmed up a ton and I haven't been needing my winter coat.  I still wanted to blog this scarf, so I paired it with this new sweater from J.C. Penny.  It's a pretty basic long sweater that I like to wear leggings under.  I got it for only $0.80 (using a coupon)!  I really like the two paired together because it still follows the same color scheme that I had originally intended.  This scarf is also incredibly soft.  It's actually much better quality than I had expected.  It's from Yoshop.

Burnt Orange Velvet

DRESS: Rosegal | BOOTS: Steve Madden | PURSE: H&M | SUNGLASSES: Zero UV | EARRINGS: Rosegal (only comes with 1, buy 2) | NECKLACE: Forever 21

I'm not really sure what inspired this look.  I got this dress and had something completely different in mind (less boho, more victorian).  I saw this dress on Rosegal and wanted to try something really different.  I must say, I love the end result of all of these pieces together.  The dress was maxi-length but I hemmed it to midi-length, so you can see the boots better.  It's a really unusual color velvet.  That's what inspired me to pair it with these gold and black accessories.  I'm wearing these star earrings, a moon necklace, and these cool sunglasses.  I think I went over the top a bit with the star and moon thing, but that was because of my lack of accessories.  I just got the sunglasses in from Zero UV and was going to return them.  They are too large on my small head.  I ended up missing the return deadline so I just kept them.  I actually love how they look with my new shorter hair.  I will be wearing them a lot more.  I guess I just changed my mind.  Let me know what you think of this outfit.  Would you wear it?

TOP (Casual Rolled Sleeve Lettering Grey T-Shirt): Yoshop | JEANS: Forever 21 | SUNGLASSES (Chic Polygonal Frame Black Sunglasses): Yoshop | NECKLACE: H&M

This outfit is super casual.  I got this t-shirt recently from  When I saw it, I had to have it because it's totally "me".  I've accepted that I'm awkward, so long ago.  I'm totally fine with it and I realize that it's just a part of who I am.  Also, everyone it a little awkward.  This top is pretty long so I just tied it up and work it with my high wasted jeans.  I am also wearing these black sunglasses.

Zaful Dress Wishlist

Rose Print Dress
Lace Midi Dress
Flare Sleeve Dress
Lace Dress
Off-The-Shoulder Dress
These beautiful midi-length dresses are from Zaful.  You can shop them on the website, where you can find two pages of midi dresses with sleeves.  These are my favorites.  I love the midi-length dress trend.  I especially love boho style midi length dresses.  I feel like they just have an extra element of "cool" to them.  The second and third dresses are perfect examples of this.  It's amazing that all of these dresses have long sleeves too because it's obviously still winter.  The first one is beautiful because it's a very classic style, made from floral fabric.  I love the last one because it looks kind of summer-y and nautical.  That's a style I am always drawn to because I can closely identify with it.  The second to last dress was chosen because of the fabric.  I love the color of the lace.  I just think it's really pretty.

V-Day Sweater

SWEATER: H&M | JEANS: Forever 21 | SUNGLASSES: Chalotte Russe (similar) | PURSE: Ted Baker (similar) | BOOTS: Steve Madden | RING: Holy Land Jewelry

This is the outfit I am planning on wearing for Valentines Day.  It's super casual, but festive.  I won't really be doing much.  I will be eating candy and hanging out with my boyfriend for a few hours, between both of us working.  This year's V-day is going to be kind of uneventful, but that's okay.
I love both this sweater, and jeans so much! The sweater is really comfortable.  It's just the perfect cut and color.  The fabric is really nice too.  it's got grooves knitted into it and has metallic thread woven in.  I just got it for Christmas.  I feel like it's good for a casual Valentines Day.  I paired it with this rose gold cross body from Ted Baker.  I love how the colors look together.  The back of the bag is the exact same color as as my sweater.  I've also just had these heard shaped aviators for forever.

CARDIGAN: Forever 21 (similar) | TOP: H&M | JEANS: Forever 21 | MOONSTONE RING: Etsy (Holy Land Jewelry) | BOOTS: Steve Madden | BAG: H&M | SUNGLASSES: Zero UV

This cardigan is another item I bought on Black Friday this year.  It is no long available though.  Forever 21 always runs out of things so quickly.  I love how soft it is.  It's made from really nice fabric.  I paired it with my new high waist jeans (also from F21) and this floral sweatshirt.  I feel like the colors in the floral kind of tie in the black jeans and beige cardigan.  Normally I cannot stand any shades of brown and black together, but in this case I think it works.
I got this ring in a few days ago from an Etsy shop based in Israel.  It's a 14kt. rose gold metal, with a moonstone.  This shop is amazing because you can find all sorts of genuine stones for an affordable price.  Many of them are very delicate styles.  I have been wanting a moonstone for a long time.  I feel like they look kind of exotic.  I just think they are really cool.  P.S. this ring isn't as big as it looks.  It actually fits me.  I don't know why it looks like that in the picture.  I bought this ring as a blogger gift to myself.  I haven't really bought anything for myself since starting my blog several years ago.  Normally my funds just go straight to bills. ūüėĎ

Ice Fest

COAT: Forever 21 | JEANS: Forever 21 | BOOTS: Kohl's | HAT: H&M | MITTENS: Forever 21 | SCARF: J.C. Penney

Saturday I spent the day in St. Joseph, Michigan for the Ice Fest.  It's just a little festival where there are all sorts of activities throughout the weekend, revolving around ice carving.  There was a contest and some guys doing ice carving demonstrations while we were there.  Some of the carvings were really impressive.  There was a chair made out of ice that you can sit in.  That was pretty neat.  My favorite sculpture was the mermaid, it won second place.  Most of the shops in town had a little carving out in the front of their store that was in some way representing the business.  Some of them were symbols, others were signs or logos.  It was really cool.  We also walked down to the beach, went out to eat, and did some shopping.  Successful Saturday!
