Prom Season with Formal Dress Australia

Formal Dresses Brisbane

Sadly, I never went to any of my proms in High School.  Everybody said I would regret it, but it was too awkward, and too much effort.  I must say that I do regret it a bit because as you get older you realize that there are very few formal events in life.  I thought that I'd have plenty occasions to wear a fancy dress, so I didn't really care.  My senior year I was camping during prom.  My parents didn't give me enough money to get a dress that I actually liked so I didn't even try.  For me, it is really only about the dress.  There were a lot less places to find a pretty, affordable dress when I was of prom age (10-11 years ago).

I know it's coming up on prom season for many of you guys out there.  If you haven't got your dress yet you can find a beautiful one from Formal Dress Australia, for my Australian readers.  They ship to a few other countries as well, including America.  If you are from Adelaide, check out Formal Dresses Adelaide

Do you notice a trend in all of these dresses that I have selected? I really love dresses with lots of flow-y volume.  Many of them are made out of varieties of tulle.  I also love a lot of embellishment, which is not surprising.  I think all of these dresses are super pretty.  One great thing about them is that many come in a variety of colors.  I think the blue one is my favorite.

Off-the-Shoulder Eyelet

This top and sunglasses are from  I am obsessed with both of them! I want to warn you that I did have to pay a $32 customs fee with the sunglasses, which made me very mad.  Think about that before buying from  Now that I have them, I will have to make the most of them.  They are both so pretty and summery.  I can't wait to wear them again.  We had a random 80 degree day this week, where I was able to dress warm.  It's been pretty cold though.  I think this whole outfit is a really good summer combo.  I wish I would have worn a choker, but next time I will.  What I love about the top is how it slants down when it goes off your shoulder.  It's a nice unique detail.  It reminds me of one of my favorite labels, Alice McCall.  ūüėć

Sequin Sweatshirt

SWEATSHIRT: Designed by Myself | SKIRT: Forever 21 | BOOTS: Sugar | PURSE: H&M | SUNGLASSES: Zero UV

I said I would blog this sweatshirt again because the first time I wore it, it was super cold and I didn't do a good job.  I made this sweatshirt for NYE.  It's got the crazy arrangement of sequins that gives it that New Years feel.  It's also comfortable which is perfect if you can't dress up for the holiday.  I spent mine at Niagara Falls and didn't want to wear something too flashy.  I was traveling and driving a lot of the day.
I'm really happy with how it turned out.  I love how all of the different shaped sequins look all together.  I will admit that it is difficult to wash but it's worth it.  I just have a weakness for sequins and embellishment of any kind.

TOP: Zara | JEANS: Forever 21 | CHOKER: Rosegal | PURSE: Ted Baker London | BOOTS: Steve Madden

First off, I'm sorry my top is so wrinkled.  I didn't really notice when putting it on.  I love it though! I bought it when I was in Canada, over New Years.  We went to a huge mall in Toronto and Zara was having a sale.  I found so many amazing things and aside from the great sale prices, the exchange rate made everything cheaper.  I'm totally in love with this style.  It's feminine, but casual.  The color is really pretty as well.  I'm wearing it with my favorite jeans that I wear way too often.

Cream Sweater

SWEATER: Romeo & Juliet Couture | JEANS: Forever 21 | BOOTS: Steve Madden | NECKLACE: Target | PURSE: Marc by Marc Jacobs

This was one of my favorite sweaters from the winter.  I bought it early on from Marshall's.  It's this super stretchy, thick knit fabric.  It's so warm and comfortable.  The color is also amazing.  I just really love everything about it.  I'm definitely a sweater girl.  The only thing about wearing sweaters that it kind of conflicting for me is that I hate wearing jeans.  I always buy ones that have a ton of stretch to them.  I can't stand stiff pants.  Nothing is worse than not being able to comfortably sit down when you are also freezing.  This was just a super quick blog post so I could talk about one of my favorite sweaters.

VIIcode O2M Oxygen Eye Mask Review

8:33:00 PM Andrea Ryan 2 Comments

I decided to give the VIIcode Oxygen Eye Mask a try because I have just about every under eye problem a person can have.  I have always spent a lot of time in the sun so I have a lot of wrinkles around my eyes.  Whenever I say that, people don't believe me but it's true!  I live near the beach and spent days on end there.  When I was younger I wasn't the most responsible with sunglasses or sunscreen either.  Also, I have the worst under eye circles.  I inherited them from my mom and they drive me crazy.  Recently, I have been looking for a product to help with my issues.  I decided to do a review of this eye mask.  I will share my experience and let you know what I think.
This mask is meant to be worn while you are sleeping, instead of during the day like other similar products.  It's really convenient for me because I don't have a lot of time during the day to use products like this.  You wear it for no more than 8 hours.  It's really easy to use.  You just remove them from the package and peel of the plastic film.  There is a gel-like substance on the mask that sticks to your skin comfortably.  You use the mask 2-3 times a week, and three boxes is the course of a treatment.
Both times I tried the mask, I slept with it on for 7.5 hours.  I thought it would be difficult to sleep with but I sleep on my back, so it was no big deal.  After removing the little masks I immediately noticed that the skin under my eyes felt softer.  I looked closely in the mirror and the wrinkles and darkness were much less obvious.  I'm not sure how long the results last but I will continue using them, as the box comes with 6 uses.
