Quick Trip to Northwest Indiana

On my Aunt's new boat in New Buffalo, MI.  She just bought it that day.
This past few days I flew home to visit family and work on wedding planning.  I was only there for 4.5 days but it was a really good trip.  Conveniently, it was during the same time as a wedding that my family was invited to.  Here is what I wore.  Also, I did a lot of beach-related things and just general summer stuff.  I was planning on doing a blog post when I was at home visiting family, but I never got around to it.  I've just decided to upload a few pictures from my trip.  They are all pictures from my phone so they aren't the best quality.  I hardly took any.  Hopefully I will find more time to blog soon.

Striped Swimsuit

Target Swimsuit
I've been in need of a new swimsuit lately because it's been a while since I have bought one.  I came across this cute one in Target.  Target always has super cute swimsuits and they have a lot of variety.  I can't say I like all of their suits, but I can normally find one worth buying.  I absolutely love this one.  It's one of my all-time favorites.  The color scheme is just perfect.  The fit is really nice as well. The fabric is seersucker, but made of stretchy swim fabric.  You can find it online and in stores right now.  I also really love this suit!

Daisy Love Marc Jacobs

Daisy Love Marc Jacobs
I have already mentioned my love for the new Daily Love perfume by Marc Jacobs in my Spring Favorites post, but I wanted to elaborate on it a bit more.  The original Daisy scent has been my favorite perfume since it came out.  I didn't think anything could top that because the Marc Jacobs scents that have come out since that one weren't as good.  This new one really surprised me because it reminds me a lot of the original but better somehow.  I really love scents that are kind of floral or fruity.  I'm not so much into the more musty scents.
I really want to wear Daisy Love when I get married, I've decided. I think it's the perfect scent to go with such a special occasion.  If I don't get around to buying a full size before then I'm going to try to keep this sample.  My wedding is in a little over 10 months.  I got these samples when I was shopping in Santa Monica.  There was a Marc Jacobs event at the Santa Monica Pier.  Sadly, I couldn't go to the event but at least I got the samples.  Anyway, I seriously think that this is the best perfume for women.

Burnt Orange Skirt

SKIRT: Forever 21  |  TOP: BP (from Nordstrom)  |  SANDALS: Forever 21  |  SUNGLASSES: Marshall's  |  PURSE: Lulu's
For some reason the color of this skirt is coming across as more of a coral color, but it's burnt orange. I really like this skirt.  I found it at Forever 21 in the sale section.  That's basically where 1/4 of my wardrobe has come from.  It was only around $3 and I really needed longer skirts that I can wear to work.  I've never really liked midi skirts much because I feel like the accentuate my large calfs.  Let me know if you agree.  That's one of the reasons why I altered the skirt in this post.  I like them on other people, just not on me.  This one isn't as unflattering as others, so I decided to get it.  I just paired it with this old top from Nordstrom and these accessories.

Midi Turned Mini

SKIRT: Target |  TOP: Zaful  |  SANDALS: H&M  |  BAG: Topshop
Hi again! It's been hard to get up blog posts lately because my boyfriend/photographer and I usually work at completely opposite times.  Most days of the week we are busy, so I really only have time on weekends.  I don't know how some people have time to blog so often.  That would be amazing because blogging is one of my favorite things.
Today I am wearing this cute combo.  I recently got the skirt in the sale section from Target.  It was midi-length, which I liked in the store.  When I got home I decided it made me look a little frumpy, so I hemmed it.  What do you guys think of the length? I like it much better.

New Ring

3:47:00 PM Andrea Ryan 3 Comments

I recently got this new ring as a sort of "back up" engagement ring.  My actual engagement ring is opal, which is a very delicate stone.  Opals are precious but absorb liquids and scratch easily.  I knew this all along and am incredibly happy to have one since they are my absolute favorite stones.  However, I needed something to wear to places like certain work shifts and the beach.  This one is rose gold and quarts.  I bought it from an Etsy shop called Holy Land Jewelry.  Their jewelry is made with real stones and metal.  It's a super affordable shop, I think because it's located in Israel (maybe with the exchange rate).  This isn't the first piece of jewelry I bought from this shop.  I got a ring as my first blogging gift to myself as well.  I've been really happy with my purchases and just wanted to share about the shop.  It's hard to find cheap, unique, and pretty jewelry.  Check it out!

Airy Blue

TOP: Forever 21  |  SHORTS: Forever 21  |  BAG: Kellie and Katie  |  SANDALS: H&M  |  SUNGLASSES: Zero UV
I put this outfit together last minute.  I like the color combo.  It's not 100% my style but I think it looks very clean and nice.  It's a bit more preppy.  I got the top and shorts from Forever 21 and they were both in the sale section.  I'm really trying not to shop at Forever 21 anymore but the one near me has such good deals.  I am trying to rebuild my wardrobe after moving because I had to do a massive clear out.  I couldn't take a lot of my things so now I don't have a lot to wear.  I just happened to have a bag that matches perfectly.
