DRESS: Forever 21  |  SANDALS: H&M  |  SUNGLASSES: Asos  |  PURSE: Forever 21
Happy first day of fall!!  I feel like this dress is perfect for transitioning into fall because it is sleeveless and short, but dark and tweed.  It's kind of nautical and has a very classic vibe.  The grommets and criss-cross section makes it look for modern and cool.  I really love this dress.  It's the perfect combo of things I love.  It's one of the many items that came from the sale section of Forever 21.  I can't wait to wear it more.

Fall 2018 Trends and Where to Buy Them

2:40:00 PM Andrea Ryan 0 Comments

Here are some of my favorite upcoming fall trends.  Of course there are many other trends for fall but these are the main ones that I find to be most appealing.  I don't really like a lot of them.  I've gone around to my favorite stores and selected some of the items that I think would be good picks.
BELT BAGS
These are a variation of the fanny pack.  They are just little bags attached to belts.  I know these aren't a new concept because I've had a few over the years but I've never seen them being sold in mainstream stores until now.
ANIMAL PRINT
Animal prints always come in and out of fashion.  I've never really been a huge fan but I do find the occasional print to be nice.  I've never owned a faux snakeskin print so I think it would be fun to try that this season.
OVERSIZED BLAZERS
I think this trend can look really cool if you style it right.  That's about all I have to say.
COLORFUL PLAID (CLUELESS INSPIRED)
90's styles have been popular for a while and I guess it won't be going out yet.  This is a trend that is also really hit or miss for me.  I'm not the biggest 90's fashion person because I find it to be a bit boring but I like these two items.
PRARIE INSPIRED
You can find this trend at Zara right now.  They have a ton of items that are a little prarie-esque.  I love the items they have because they are very different from what that traditionally means.  Also, you can always shop Free People.
RAIN JACKETS
I've been loving interesting raincoats ever since as long as I can remember.  I've always wanted one of the clear ones but never got around to getting one.  They are trendy again and sadly I won't be able to partake because it NEVER rains in L.A.
CHENILLE
This fabric is the perfect sweater fabric in my eyes.  It's super soft and seems to hold up pretty well.  It never makes me look fatter than I am either (a downfall of sweaters).  I really want this first one from H&M!

Anchor and Stripes

I found this t-shirt recently at H&M and I wanted to share it.  I love the little gold anchor patch.  I'm sure a lot of my readers already know that I love nautical things.  I just think this top is simple and cute.  It's a good little shirt to thrown on in the summer.  It was super affordable too.  I'm not really sure how much I will be able to wear it when the weather changes.  I don't know how warm or cold it gets in the fall in southern California.  I'm not sure what to expect for fall and I'm really excited about it.

Styling a Low Armhole Top

Have you ever come across one of these tops, dresses, or rompers where the armhole goes so low that it shows your bra?  It can be very frustrating dealing with strange silhouettes.  This romper is like that and the back is also open.  I didn't try it on in the store because it was only $4 and I was in a hurry.  I didn't want to return it because I really needed some new rompers for summer.  It's too thin to go braless.  The way I style it is by wearing a bandeau bra underneath.  Depending on the style of your top you could also wear a bralette.  Another thing that you could do is reserve your outfit for beach or pool days.  You could save it for a swimsuit cover-up.  Overall I still really like this outfit.  It's just a little complicated.

International Street Fair in Orange

T-SHIRT: Souvenir from New Buffalo, MI  |  SHORTS: Zaful  |  BAG: Topshop (similar)  |  SANDALS: Rampage  |  SUNGLASSES: Asos
Today we went to the International Street Fair in Orange, California.  It's a festival with food from all over the world.  We had heard mixed reviews about it, but it ended up being really fun.  It lasts for three days and can get really crowded.  If you want to find free/easy parking, I recommend going right when it opens.  That's what we did and I think it worked out best.  We got baklava, a falafel sandwich, and fish and chips.  All of the food was super tasty!  I'd like to go next summer as well.
