I know 100,000 page views isn't many for a lot of bloggers.  Some people get that many in a month and a lot of people are way past that.  But for me, it's something to be proud of.  I've worked really hard with being consistent with my blog posts for years.  Honestly, it's only because I love it.  I'm not trying to make money or just get noticed.  I try to blog about what I want and only collaborate with brands that I am interested in.  It's just nice to feel like people are actually listening when you write, even when you stick to topics only you like.  When I first started my blog I would get excited if I got a few views per post, but mostly felt like I was talking to nobody.  Of course I would love my blog to grow and keep at it, but even if I stopped tomorrow I would be happy with the progress I made.  It seems like the perfect time to meet this little goal because of the new year coming up.  2019 was an amazing year, but 2020 could be even better.  I'm super thankful to every person that has clicked on my blog in the past.  Thank you to all of my readers!

Taylor Swift Merch

T-SHIRT: Taylorswift.com  |  SWEATER: Forever 21  |  NECKLACE: Souvenir from Hawaii  |  SUNGLASSES: Zero UV  |  LEGGINGS: Forever 21
I bought this t-shirt when Taylor's album Lover came out.  It came with a digital copy and I really wanted a cute t-shirt.  It turns out that the sizes are enormous and it fits like a dress.  I got a size medium because I thought it might shrink and not fit.  There's no chance of that happening!  I didn't want to go through the trouble of trying to return it because I had already downloaded the album.  Also, if I got a size small it wouldn't fit properly as a t-shirt or a dress.  Sometimes I just wear it super casually with leggings for a comfy outfit.  This day we went to the Bosla Chica Ecological Reserve.  It's a protected place near my apartment that has a ton of wildlife (mostly birds).  You can walk for miles across boardwalks and bridges and it's fun to see all of the different types of birds.  It's a nice way to get some exercise.

Christmas Tree Updates 2019

9:35:00 AM Andrea Ryan 1 Comments

Compass (also available on Amazon) from Anthropologie.  I bought it for myself with birthday money.
Smokey the Bear ornament made of wood.  This came from Big Bear Lake but kind of represents all of our trips to State and National Parks.
This is a pi√Īata from Target, but represents when we went to Mexico together.
This is a tiny Mickey Mouse hat that came from Disneyland.  I got it when I went for my birthday.
This one is from Yosemite National Park.  We hiked the Mist Trail and found this ornament that has the hike one it!
This adorable pineapple came from Kauai, Hawaii when we went on our honeymoon.
We bought this from a tiny boutique in Maui, about halfway through the Road to Hana (also on our honeymoon).
We've had the same Christmas Tree theme for the past 3 years and I think we plan on keeping it forever.  I've spoken about it before, but if you don't know, our theme is travel.  Whenever we go on a trip we try to buy an ornament from that place.  I think this is the perfect tree theme because it is super meaningful and memorable, but also gives the tree a theme and keeps it cohesive.  You get to buy a souvenir from places but don't have a bunch of useless clutter.  I also have more general ornaments that relate to travel or buy ones that represent a place we went to when we couldn't find one.  Here are some of my favorite new ones we got this past year.  I think we bought 11 new ones, these are just my favorites.  Some other changes we made to the tree this year is that we got a bigger star and a tree skirt.  The star is from Target and the skirt is from Home Goods.

Happy weekend! Today we went around areas of L.A. checking out potential new apartments.  We are planning on moving closer to Los Angeles in the near future.  I recently started a new job there and can't stand the commute from Long Beach.  Sometimes it is 2 hours, one way.  I am working for Nordstrom Rack and HauteLook as a sample coordinator.  I work in the studio where the photos are taken for the website.  Basically, I help to keep track of the items coming in and going out.   I had been wanting to stop by the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook because it's right next to my new job but I hadn't gotten a chance.  It's a super tall hill that has some hiking trails and a lookout at the top.  You can take the stairs straight up the front or drive to the top.  It's a really nice spot!  I was wearing this new turtleneck from H&M and my mom jeans (also from H&M), that I wear way too much.  I literally wore them in my last post.  I love the look of this whole outfit, especially the pops of pink.

Snowy Mountains in a Striped Sweater

This past week it snowed a ton in the mountains surrounding L.A.  You can see them from super far away and they look so pretty.  I really want to go on a little road trip back up to the mountains sometime before Christmas.  I'm not sure if I will have time though.  You can see them really well from Signal Hill.  You can basically get a panoramic view of Los Angeles, Long Beach, and all of the surrounding areas.  It's been really chilly here so I have been dressing warmer.  I got this sweater for my birthday and it is so cute.  I love the stripes and colors.  I paired it with these mom jeans and accessories.  I love the whole look all together.

Thanksgiving Tag & Outfit

Hello and happy Thanksgiving! ūüćĀūüćā This year I decided to do something a bit different.  I wanted to do a Thanksgiving Tag in addition to sharing my outfit and what my husband and I get up to.  Let me know if you do the tag as well (or if you have in the past), so I can take a look at your responses.

1.  What is your favorite Thanksgiving side dish?
Stuffing or mashed potatoes (they are equal)
2.  What is your favorite Thanksgiving dessert?
   Sara Lee Dutch apple pie
3.  What does your ideal Thanksgiving outfit look like?
Probably a cozy sweater with a skirt, something warm and cute.
4.  What is your best Thanksgiving memory?
Going to the Thanksgiving parade in Chicago
5.  Least favorite Thanksgiving dish?
   Canned cranberry sauce!
6.  Do you have any quirky Thanksgiving traditions?
Sadly no.  Just stuffing our faces, then sitting around laughing and arguing.
7.  We have always celebrated at my Grandparent's house (Dad's mom), until I moved to California.
Now it's just my husband and I that celebrate together.
8. What do you love most about Thanksgiving?
I really like the warm cozy feeling, with not too many obligations other than eating.
9.  What do you think has changed most since the first Thanksgiving?
I would guess basically everything except eating.  The foods seem similar but I am sure they are very different.
10.  What are you thankful for?
My husband (and fam), my new job, where I live, and my health.

This year is our first Thanksgiving together as a married couple.  We aren't doing anything too special though.  We will be staying home the whole day and cooking a traditional meal, eating, and probably watching some movies.  It has been raining all day.  I really wanted to go to a park of some sort and go for a walk but it's also pretty chilly.  I still wanted to dress festive.  I am wearing this new sweater that I got from H&M from their early Black Friday sale.  It was only like $5 and feels so autumnal to me.

Sky Blue Satin Tank

Today I am wearing my new satin tank top from Asos.  I bought it recently for my birthday and it is literally the softest satin that I have ever felt!  The only bad thing about it is that it wrinkles super easily.  I even ironed it before I put it on.  I paired it with my basic black jeans and this cute headband that I picked up today.  I found it at H&M for only $2!.  I've been super into headbands recently.

Patchwork Art and Craft Festival

9:21:00 AM Andrea Ryan 2 Comments

On Sunday I stopped by the Patchwork art and Craft Festival in Long Beach.  It was a super hot day, so I wasn't there for very long but it was really nice.  This is a craft show with small crafters that sets up at a few different locations across southern California.  I'm not sure if it's new or annual.  It's free to enter and dogs are welcome (I wish I had a dog).  There were lots of cool booths there and food trucks.  I really wanted to get shave ice because it was so hot and it reminded us of being in Hawaii.  Sadly, the line was too long.  I did end up buying this cute sticker that is in the shape of California.  I like the way it has poppies all over it because California is known for their amazing poppies.  I wish I could have had a bit more time to shop but It was around 90 degrees and we wanted to go to the beach.  Luckily, there is another craft show coming up for Christmas.

I bought this t-shirt with birthday money recently and I love it so much.  I love the color and the gold embroidery.  I am a huge embroidery fan and also love t-shirts with locations on them.  It reminds me of a souvenir t-shirt.  I have been to NYC but didn't get a shirt from there so I thought it would be fun to get this one.  It also fits really well and the fabric feels super nice.  We spent some time in Redondo Beach because we went to a Thai restaurant and wanted to walk around the beach area for a bit.  I haven't spent much time at the beaches north of Long Beach (normally go to O.C.), so it was refreshing.

Louis Vuitton Exhibit

Sunday we stopped by the Louis Vuitton pop-up exhibit in Beverly Hills.  I had seen a lot about it on social media and wanted to check it out.  It's a free exhibit/museum that focuses on Louis Vuitton.  When you first walk in there is a bunch of original trunks and bags that were made by him.  Then, it moves along to silk scarves, collaborations, and unique bags.  There are a bunch of cool photo opportunities as well.  One room is full of dresses that were worn by celebrities on the red carpet.  It was really cool to be able to see the detail up close.  There is a store upstairs and a little balcony area.  Unfortunately, today was the last day so you can't visit it at this point.  Afterward, we just walked around Beverly Hills and got a mocha latte at Alfred.
