Palm Print Pants

I found these pants at H&M a few months ago.  They are super comfortable because they are really lightweight and stretchy.  They are perfect to wear when it isn't super hot out, but not too chilly.  I love the print as well.  I've been wanting something with a palm print for a while.  Before I went to Hawaii on my honeymoon I was looking for something with a similar print, but couldn't find anything.  The week I got home, H&M had a ton of things with this print.  Honestly, it was really annoying.

Yosemite National Park Road Trip

2:03:00 PM Andrea Ryan 2 Comments

Camped for the first two nights in Mammoth Lakes, at Old Shady Rest Campground.
Driving into Yosemite
Toulumne Meadows: We spotted a coyote, some elk, and prairie dogs.  The Coyote was hunting the prairie dogs and they were all calling to each other.
This lake was steaming from the freezing morning temperatures.  It looked so pretty.
Hiking to upper Yosemite Falls.  We saw the lower falls and it was very tiny because there hasn't been a lot of rain so we didn't hike all the way to the upper falls, just part of the way.
Hiking the Mist Trail.  It's been voted one of the best hikes in the country and was really amazing.  It took most of the day and is about 7 miles round trip.  You are basically hiking to the top of a huge mountain, so the whole first half is up hill.  It was the hardest hike I have ever done but was so worth it.
The first major waterfall of the hike is Vernal Falls.
The path we took up.
The top of Vernal Falls.  Most people turn around at this point.
Made it to the top! Hiked 1,900 feet up.  This is the top of Nevada Falls.
Nevada Falls from the side.
View point of Half Dome and other parts of Yosemite along the road.
View of our last camping spot, before heading home.  We stayed one night at Codorniz Recreation Area.  It was super empty and a strange experience.  It would have been nicer if there were more campers there.  We saw a bunch of animals that were very noisy and it was a bit creepy.  There were raccoons, an owl, a bunch of random rodents, cows, and a baby rattlesnake.
My husband and I went on a little road trip to Yosemite National Park this past 4 days.  He had been wanting to go since moving to California and I wanted to go back.  I visited it briefly in High School, and didn't remember that much.  We spent almost 3 days in the park so we got to do a pretty good amount of things.  It was really fun.  We are hoping to go back sometime in the near future because there is just so much to see.  I think my favorite park was hiking mist trail because it was super scenic the entire way.  I was really difficult because you are walking up a combination of stairs, ramps, and rocky trails.  It was definitely one of the best hikes I've ever done, probably in the top 2.  If you get a chance to see Yosemite, I recommend you go.  Beware it can get super crowded, especially in the Summer.  The reason we didn't camp in the park is because it's virtually impossible to get a campsite.  It was fine though.  Our first campground was only about an hour drive to Yosemite and it was really nice.  The whole trip was super fun.

Favorite Denim Skirt

TOP: Gaze  |  SKIRT: H&M  |  NECKLACES: H&M  |  BAG: H&M  |  SHOES: Kensie  |  SUNGLASSES: T.J. Maxx
I've blogged about this skirt before but I wear it so often.  It's a really easy skirt to wear because it's so versatile.  I can't link it because it's no longer available but it should be easy to find a similar one anywhere.  I am wearing it with this cute orange twisted cropped top.  I bought it to wear on our anniversary.  It matches the color of the changing leaves perfectly.  Once again, I am wearing way to many things from H&M but they always have good sales.  Do you guys have a denim skirt? If so, do you wear it often?

A Summer Walk

We are always on the lookout for new little parks and hiking spots.  We came across this little area in Seal Beach.  Although it's tiny, it's pretty private and the trees are really cool.  I wore this little cropped top and some jean shorts because it was super hot out.  I found this cute top in the sale section at Forever 21.  I just love the floral embroidery and lace trim.  It's so cute.  I paired it with my white sunglasses and these cute pearl clips.  It took me a while to find the perfect pack of pearl clips.  I have been loving the trend for so long but couldn't find the perfect one.  These are from H&M.

My Wedding Dress + Accessories

SHOES: Asos  |  EARRINGS: T.J. Maxx  |  HAIR CLIP: Amazon  |  TEMPORARY WEDDING BAND: Local Eclectic  |  BRACELET: Etsy (wouldn't recommend)
I never got a chance to share what I wore for our wedding.  I just wanted to do a little post that was specifically about my dress and accessories.  If you never saw photos from our ceremony or reception, check those out.  It took me a while to decide what to wear but I immediately knew the style I wanted to go for.  Every aspect felt very "me."
As you may know, I made my dress myself.  I couldn't find one that was perfect and affordable.  Also, since I studied fashion design, I felt like it was appropriate.  I always wanted a dress by an amazing designer but since they are too expensive, designing it myself seemed like the second best option.  I wanted something less traditional.  I wanted some color.  The tulle underneath the dotted mesh is a light pink/lilac color.  It's just a hint and you can really only tell in certain lighting.  I also have some colorful flowers and rhinestones on the bodice.  I knew I wanted some sort of 3-D flowers because I love flowers.
As for my accessories, I didn't want to over-accessorize.  I didn't wear a necklace because my bodice is so busy.  I really wanted a rose gold hair piece and I found the perfect one on Amazon.  The earrings are pretty much exactly what I was looking for as well.  I wanted all rose gold accessories.  I had the bracelet made on Etsy but it tarnished almost immediately.  I don't recommend that Etsy shop.    I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty annoyed about it.  I bought this wedding band from Local Eclectic.  it's not the one that goes with my engagement ring but it fits really well.  I plan on getting the one that goes with my ring soon, weddings are just expensive.
