My husband and I have been looking for a Pomeranian puppy for a couple of weeks.  I've been wanting a dog since we moved to California two years ago.  We moved recently and made sure to get a new place that allows pets.  We had planned to go to Japan right now for our first year wedding anniversary (March 29th) but obviously that trip got canceled.  Instead, we wanted to celebrate our anniversary with a new family member.  We thought it would be the perfect way to celebrate.  We found him on AKC.org.  Of course, it would be nice to adopt from a shelter but shelters in California are super expensive and it would be very difficult to find a pom puppy.  He is now 11 weeks old and is so loving and cute.  He has a ton of energy and such a funny personality.  His name is Luca and if you want to follow him, I made an Instagram page @pompuppyluca.  I plan on doing a part two of this post with some more photos and updates from time to time.

Hello! First off, I need to say that these photos were taken with my phone so I am sorry that they aren't the best quality.  I don't like to bring my big camera on hikes.  This past weekend we went hiking at Topanga State Park.  This was our second time visiting.  Last time it was late summer and it was super hot and we said we wanted to return in the spring to finish the same hike we had started.  We walked to a waterfall that had a very slow trickle, but it was still a beautiful hike.  I don't know the name of this exact hike but it is one of the more popular trails.  This is a mountainous park so you are surrounded by rocky cliffs and valleys.  There were lots of flowers starting to pop up all over the place because it's almost spring.  I kept having to stop at each flower bush because they were making me so happy!  We recently moved closer so I think we will be back from time to time.  You have to pay to get in but there is a lot of free street parking just outside.  I am wearing this super basic outfit that is mostly from H&M.  I got this white, ribbed knit t-shirt last weekend.  I love it because it is super comfortable and much better quality than other basic t-shirts.  They are affordable and from the conscious collection.  I also have a black one.

Super Puffy Sleeves

OVERALLS: Kensie  |  TOP: Rachel Parcell  |  SHOES: Target  |  PURSE: Coach
I have always loved puffy sleeves.  It's been so long since I have worn them because they haven't been in style for a while.  I think everybody got sick of them.  They are starting to come back, though.  I love this shirt because it has puffy sleeves and ruffles on top.  It's made of super pretty eyelet lace fabric.  I think it looks so cute underneath overalls.  I feel like the silhouettes complement each other really well.  We have been exploring our new area recently and went to the beach twice this weekend here, in Manhattan Beach.

I've been seeing these shirts with flowers on them everywhere for the past year or two and I had been wanting one really badly.  I am a huge flower lover and I think they are so cute.  They have the names of the flowers, like some sort of chart.  I think I just never really came across one at the right time or maybe they were too expensive, but I finally got one.  This one is from Target.  I just paired it with the same mom jeans that I wear too often.  My husband and I discovered this park today and had to stop.  It's pretty close to our new apartment so I will probably be blogging here from time to time.  It has a cute little garden, a pond, and some other things.  Also, I am planning on getting a puppy soon, so I can't wait to take him here.  I don't know the name of it, but it's in Manhattan Beach, CA.

V-Day 2020

SWEATER: Cynthia Rowley  |  HEADBAND: H&M (similar)
Hopefully everybody had a really nice Valentines Day! I worked a half day and wore this cute outfit.  I wanted to take some more pictures of it, but I never got the chance.   We moved this weekend, so I was super busy.  Although, we did manage to eat out at one of my favorite restaurants.  My husband also brought home these pretty flowers and donuts!
I found this sweater recently and fell in love.  The quality is amazing.  It's super stretchy, thick, and soft.  I don't really know how else to explain it but it feels so nice.  It's by Cynthia Rowley.  I knew it would be perfect for V-Day, paired with this headband.  Obviously the color scheme goes with the holiday.  I also really love how it comes to a point in the front and back.  It's kind of hard to see in this photo but it just has a diamond shape with the coloring.

Purple Pom Pom Sweater

SWEATER: Forever 21  |  JEANS: H&M  |  HAIR CLIPS: H&M  |  SHOES: Target  |  BACKPACK: Ted Baker London
Happy Sunday.  I've been wearing this sweater so much lately! I got it for Christmas.  It's no longer available but I was immediately drawn to it because of the bobbles.  I love anything with pom poms.  Sweaters like this are actually pretty difficult to find too.  They are normally pretty expensive, so when I come across one, I don't buy it.  This one is also such a pretty color.  I've been loving this lilac color lately.  It's one of my favorite colors.  It also came in white, which would have been more practical but I couldn't resist the purple.  It's been pretty chilly lately so I have been living in sweaters.  I added these pearl hair clips because they seem festive for Valentines Day.  I always get really excited for V-Day because it's such a pretty/happy holiday.  I don't know how to explain it because most holidays are "happy".  I don't think we will do much this year for the holiday because we are moving really soon so I will have to pack.  We are moving closer to LA because my commute is too long.  I'm really excited to move and I will be sure to do posts about it in the future.

Honeybee Gardens Cosmetics

Blush  |  Mascara
I recently acquired these makeup products by Honeybee Gardens from my job.  My work had a bunch of samples that they were done with so they let us choose the ones we wanted.  I had never heard of this brand and wanted to test it out.  It's a natural and organic brand that doesn't test on animals, and all of that other good stuff.  I am always looking for more natural makeup brands.  First off, this post isn't so much a review as it is me wondering if anybody has tried this brand and telling you a bit of what I think.  I'm not sure what stores sell it and like I said, I haven't seen it before.  Let me know if you have tried it, or use it regularly.
I have tested out everything except the hair spray.  I don't use hair spray that often but it's nice to have on hand.  I really like the eyeshadows because they are really nice colors and seem to be pretty good quality.  I am not that experienced with makeup and normally do the same look every day so I can't say much.  The blush is super pigmented but it's a really nice color.  You can only us a tiny bit though.  I used my normal technique and looked like a china doll.  It's kind of strange because it's very similar to the color that I use everyday.  I'm not really sure why so much color shows up.  As for the mascara, I wasn't the biggest fan.  It didn't really seem to do anything.  Perhaps it is dried out.  It just kind of seemed like it made no difference to my lashes.  I am interested in trying more products from this brand in the future.  As for now, i'm not really sure what I think.

The World is Your Oyster

I came across this t-shirt while shopping at Nordstrom Rack.  I instantly wanted it because not only do I love it, but I actually made something really similar in the past but never finished it.  I hand-embroidered a clam and sewed a pearl inside but I never got around to doing anything with it.  I'd never seen anything like it so I was super excited to see the same thing in a store.  I also really love the phrase "the world is your oyster".  It was kind of like this t-shirt was made for me because it was the last one left and was my size.  This was the first thing that I bought at Nordstrom with my employee discount.  I think I mentioned before that I recently started working for the company as a sample coordinator.  I'm really liking it so far.  It's a pretty easy job and it's fun to be a part of the process of maintaining the website.

Tie Dye by the Water

TOP: Target  |  JEANS: Asos  |  BAG: Ted Baker London  |  SCRUNCHIE: Anthropologie (similar)  |  BELT: Thrifted
I feel like I am stuck in a styling rut.  I think I wear mom jeans too often.  I wear one of my three pairs most days of the week.  They just make a lot of my outfits look the same.  Of course I like how they look, I just get in the habit of wearing jean and shirt combos.  I guess it doesn't help that it's been pretty chilly.  It's too cold to wear skirts or dresses.  Also, it feels weird wearing tights in a warm climate.  If you have any ideas for alternatives for jeans, let me know.
I do really like this outfit.  I found this shirt in the sale section at Target recently.  You can't really tell but it is kind of tie dyed.  I really needed some more long sleeve shirts that aren't sweaters.  It's nice because it's not too heavy and you can layer it.  It's actually cropped but I managed to tuck it in because it's a little long.  I have linked it, if you want to check it out.

Basic Orange Sweater

SWEATER: H&M  |  JEANS: H&M  |  EARRINGS: Local Eclectic  |  SUNGLASSES: Shein
I normally don't like orange so much but something about this color always attracts me.  It's kind of a mac and cheese orange but I think it's really pretty.  I got this sweater for Christmas and it's a really good casual sweater to throw on when I am feeling lazy.  I also got these earrings for Christmas, from my husband.  I love them because they are gold and opal.  Opals have always been my favorite stone.  They are just so beautiful.  They are from Local Eclectic.  This is my favorite jewelry store.  I am pretty much obsessed with everything they sell.  It's all really good quality as well!  If you haven't been to the site, I recommend checking it out.  It's where I bought my temporary wedding ring.
