I came across this t-shirt while shopping at Nordstrom Rack.  I instantly wanted it because not only do I love it, but I actually made something really similar in the past but never finished it.  I hand-embroidered a clam and sewed a pearl inside but I never got around to doing anything with it.  I'd never seen anything like it so I was super excited to see the same thing in a store.  I also really love the phrase "the world is your oyster".  It was kind of like this t-shirt was made for me because it was the last one left and was my size.  This was the first thing that I bought at Nordstrom with my employee discount.  I think I mentioned before that I recently started working for the company as a sample coordinator.  I'm really liking it so far.  It's a pretty easy job and it's fun to be a part of the process of maintaining the website.

Tie Dye by the Water

I feel like I am stuck in a styling rut.  I think I wear mom jeans too often.  I wear one of my three pairs most days of the week.  They just make a lot of my outfits look the same.  Of course I like how they look, I just get in the habit of wearing jean and shirt combos.  I guess it doesn't help that it's been pretty chilly.  It's too cold to wear skirts or dresses.  Also, it feels weird wearing tights in a warm climate.  If you have any ideas for alternatives for jeans, let me know.
I do really like this outfit.  I found this shirt in the sale section at Target recently.  You can't really tell but it is kind of tie dyed.  I really needed some more long sleeve shirts that aren't sweaters.  It's nice because it's not too heavy and you can layer it.  It's actually cropped but I managed to tuck it in because it's a little long.  I have linked it, if you want to check it out.

Basic Orange Sweater

I normally don't like orange so much but something about this color always attracts me.  It's kind of a mac and cheese orange but I think it's really pretty.  I got this sweater for Christmas and it's a really good casual sweater to throw on when I am feeling lazy.  I also got these earrings for Christmas, from my husband.  I love them because they are gold and opal.  Opals have always been my favorite stone.  They are just so beautiful.  They are from Local Eclectic.  This is my favorite jewelry store.  I am pretty much obsessed with everything they sell.  It's all really good quality as well!  If you haven't been to the site, I recommend checking it out.  It's where I bought my temporary wedding ring.

Gingham Sweater

I bought this cute sweater on Black Friday from H&M.  I think I got it for around $6, because I had additional discounts. I think it is super cute.  I love the preppy look of it, especially with the pearl headband.  I also got this backpack recently as a gift to myself for getting the job I really wanted.  I promised myself I'd pick out a new bag if when I got a new job.  I currently work as a Sample Coordinator for Nordstrom Rack/Hautelook.  I work in the studio where the photos are taken for the website.
I wore this outfit last weekend to San Diego.  We went to hang out at some of our favorite spots.  We visited Balboa Park, La Jolla Cove, and Cabrillo National Monument.  Balboa Park was super crowded because there was a Holiday food festival going on but we were able to get around some of the crowds.  It's one of my favorite city parks that I have ever been to.

2019 Was the Best Year

9:10:00 AM Andrea Ryan 0 Comments

Here are some of the reasons 2019 was the best year of my life so far!
At the beginning of the year I flew home to Indiana.
It was to celebrate my sister's wedding.
We went whale watching and saw whales!
We went to the Lake Elsinore Poppy Fields and they were incredible.
We took a road trip to Big Sur,
and my husband and I got married.
We went to Kauai on our honeymoon and saw the Na'Pali Coast, which was my number 1 travel goal of my life.
The second part of the honeymoon was Maui, which was also amazing!
Then we went on a little weekend trip to Death Valley National Park
I flew back to Chicago/Indiana for my own wedding reception.
It was a really fun and busy week.
We did a day trip in San Diego.
I saw my first major surf competition, the U.S. Open of Surfing.
We took a spontaneous trip to Joshua Tree National Park and camped for a night under the stars.
We went to a lot of really amazing beaches, including my favorites in Laguna Beach.
We spent four days in Yosemite National Park.  We hiked the Mist Trail and it was one of the best hikes of my life.
We did a day trip to Big Bear Lake to see the Autumn leaves.
I went to Disneyland for my 31st birthday.  It was a perfect b-day.
I got my first job really working in fashion.  I work as a sample coordinator for Nordstrom Rack and Hautelook.
We took another Day trip to San Diego and went back to La Jolla Cove.
My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary together on NYE.  We have been together the entire decade! We have almost been married a year.
